Stormberg Orthodontics’ Commitment to the San Diego Community

At Stormberg Orthodontics, nothing is more important to us than giving back to the community that serves us so well. Besides providing our patients in and around La Mesa, El Cajon, Santee and the surrounding San Diego County area with exceptional orthodontic care, we believe it’s our duty to help the local community be a better, brighter place. We’d be happy to give you any additional information about our charitable causes, events and programs, and are welcome to hearing your suggestions.

Patient Sponsorships & Seasonal Office Contests

Any of our patients who ask for sponsorship, we are glad to help out! You’ve probably heard all about our seasonal contests and sponsorships at our blog, which include:

• Back To School Contest – Students submit an entry with their favorite teacher and school, and are entered into a drawing. The winner gets a backpack full of items, and we donate a gift card to their favorite teacher/administrator. This contest occurs around the beginning of the school year each year, and winners are chosen in early September.
• Paint Your Smile Pink – In October, for each patient that gets pink rubber bands on their braces, Dr. Stormberg will make a monetary donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.
• Tis the Season To Be Giving Contest – In December, patients can enter our contest to donate gift cards to those in need.
• Stormberg Scholarships – Each year, Dr. Stormberg awards $1,000 scholarships to graduating former or current patients. Applications go up early in the year and are due in the middle of April. Check out our requirements and past recipients on our previous blog!
• Lake Murray Fireworks – Our goal by sponsoring the fireworks at Lake Murray is to show our appreciation towards the San Diego community.
• Movember-"Blue" your smile for Men's Health. Ask for blue rubber bands for November and we donate $5 for every blue smile towards Movember.

Our Involvement & Charities to Date

Locally, Dr. Stormberg is on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Dental Health Foundation (SDDHF). Dr. Stormberg is the Director of Foundation for the John Geis, DDS Dental Clinic at Veteran’s Village. The SDDHF is dedicated to funding dental health and education programs in San Diego. He’s on the Board of Directors for Children’s Dental Health Association, Past President and on the Board of Directors for the San Diego County Dental Society. Finally, Dr. Stormberg is involved at the state level for California Dental Association, and regionally involved with the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics.
