Dr. Kurt is originally from Omaha, Nebraska where he comes from a family of ten children. His father is a children’s dentist and older brother is a general dentist in Omaha. Dr. Kurt graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1991.

Following his graduation from dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency in Dentistry at the Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton in 1992 and served in various positions in the Navy Dental Corps until his discharge in 1996.

Dr. Kurt completed his orthodontic training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1998 where he received a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology.

Dr. Kurt is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a member of the executive board of the San Diego County Dental Society. He is also a member of the California Dental Association, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, San Diego Academy of Orthodontics, California Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists and American Board of Orthodontists.

Dr. Kurt’s family includes his wife Susan, and their daughter Megan, who keeps these two parents hopping.

Dr. Kurt’s hobbies include soccer, running, and spending fun, quality time with his family.

Dr. Kurt enjoys the challenges orthodontic treatment presents and feels that by bringing beautiful smiles to his patients, he can influence their lives in a positive way.

Debbie has been a Registered Dental Assistant for our practice since 1981. She has been in the dental field since 1976. She went to Grossmont Jr. College for her Certificate of Completion in Dental Assisting.

Debbie has two lively sons, Cody, attending Grossmont Jr. College majoring in business and coaching baseball & Kyle is a freshman at SDSU, majoring in business. Outside orthodontics, Debbie plays softball, is a two-time world OTL champion, enjoys walking and kickboxing. She walked her first marathon in 1999 and second one in 2000! She’s very active in her son’s activities, both in school and in sports.

Debbie loves her career because of the opportunity to meet and educate so many interesting patients and families in the field of orthodontics. Her biggest reward in orthodontics is showing how simple and interesting braces can be. Our gift to our patients is helping to build lifelong confidence and self-esteem.

Daina, our Office Manager and Treatment Coordinator, is a Registered Dental Assistant who has been in orthodontics since 1977, and has been with our practice since 1987. As Treatment Coordinator she assists all new patients begin treatment. She loves creating new relationships and watching beautiful smiles develop in all our patients.

Daina and her husband, Wayne, live in Alpine.  She has two children, daughter, Easton, and son, Tate.  Daina is dedicated to her health as her hobbies are weight training and cardio workouts.  Daina enjoys vacationing in sunny locations by the beach.

Marti started with us in July of 1994 with secretarial and bookkeeping experience. She is the Financial Coordinator and assists in the front reception area and also handles our account administration. A native of San Diego, Marti lives in Alpine with her husband, Mike. Their two children, Andrea & Adam are grown and doing well on their own.  Marti and her family enjoy being outdoors and especially like snow skiing, fishing and baseball.

Sarah, is our clinical supervisor, started as a patient of our practice in 1995.   She became a Registered Dental Assistant in 2003.  She lives in Lakeside and her interests include shopping, movies, working out and spending time with great friends.

Deanne, our scheduling coordinator, has spent most of her years in San Diego, living in Mira Mesa and the South Bay.  She now resides in a beautiful home in Santee.  Deanne and her husband are entertained by their adorable dog, a German Shepard (Shadow) and a lil' Yorkie (Lily).  Deanne has been in the dental field since 1998 and loves working with families during their orthodontic care.  For fun, Deanne enjoys going to the movies, gardening, working out, camping and taking their dog to the park.

Raianna, a registered (2005) dental assistant, has finished her ROP courses in dental assisting and passed her license with flying colors!  She is a former patient of Dr. Stormberg's.  She lives in El Cajon with her husband, Josh.   Raianna loves to go to the desert, play pool, shop, and watch movies.

Dina, our administrative assistant, comes from an extensive background in the insurance and optometric fields.  Dina is the mother of 19 year old twins, Louis and Cristina, former patients of Dr. Stormberg.  Louis is attending SDSU, majoring in music, Cristina is attending UCSD majoring in medicine.  She married her high school sweetheart, Eric, twenty three years ago!  Dina enjoys spending time with her family at the many sporting activities her children are involved in.  She also enjoys running, camping, biking and hiking.  Dina and her family resides in Lakeside.

John, a registered chairside assistant, moved from LA to San Diego.  He has five years orthodontic experience in LA and San Diego and four years experience serving our country through the Army.

Sara, a former patient, is a registered chairside assistant.  She's a native from San Diego, where she currently resides.  Sara started in orthodontics in 1994 and loves working with patients and their smiles make her feel happy!  Sara loves riding motorcycles, snowboarding, working out and staying busy doing many fun activities.  

Lacy, went to UEI, graduated in 2003, earned her registered dental assistant license (RDA) in September 2007.  She lives with her husband, Victor, in La Mesa with their two beautiful children, son Lucas and daughter Mia.  Lacy loves to camp, shop and be with friends and family.
