About the Doctor
Kurt Stormberg, D.D.S., M.S
Dr. Kurt Stormberg is originally from Omaha, Nebraska, where he comes from a family of ten children. His father is a children’s dentist and his older brother is a general dentist in Omaha.
Dr. Kurt graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1991. Following his graduation from dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency in Dentistry at the Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton in 1992 and served in various positions in the Navy Dental Corps until his discharge in 1996.
He completed his orthodontic training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1998, where he received a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology. Dr. Stormberg is certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. Only 20% of orthodontists ever attain this level of expertise in the United States. These orthodontists are referred to as Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr Stormberg contributes to hundreds of charitable entities every year to support his community that has given so much to him and his team.
Dr. Stormberg has been honored by his peers locally by being named one of the Top Orthodontists in San Diego over the last four years.
Dr. Kurt is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a member of the executive board of the San Diego County Dental Society (President-Elect). He is also a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, San Diego Academy of Orthodontics, San Diego Advanced Study Club, California Association of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists and the American Board of Orthodonitcs and the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontists. He is a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Dr. Stormberg is a Premier Provider for Invisalign®. This means we are in the top 5% in North American orthodontic offices that provide Invisalign® treatment for their patients. This is based on strong and consistent records of cases treated and participation of clinical education activities with Invisalign®. Dr. Stormberg has been recognized by Invisalign with an Outstanding Leadership Award completing 500 Lifetime Invisalign Cases.
His family includes his wife, Susan, and their daughter, Megan, who keeps them hopping. Dr. Kurt’s hobbies include soccer, running and spending fun quality time with his family.
